Opening a remote
Genie says to open a G3T with a washer or coin in the slot at the top, then match the battery to the polarity symbols inside the housing.
If your Genie remote has a visor clip and a small screw on the back, Genie’s instructions say to pull the clip off, take the screw out and pry the rear cover loose along the seam with a small flat screwdriver. The new CR2032 goes in with the positive side up.
LiftMaster says replacement 3V CR2032 coin cells can be found at most local hardware stores. For a remote not listed here, read the code printed on the old battery.
