All three are 3 V lithium coin cells, 20 mm across. On Energizer’s sheets the CR2032 is 3.2 mm thick with 235 mAh, the CR2025 2.5 mm with 170 mAh and the CR2016 1.6 mm with 100 mAh.

The chemistry and voltage are the same in all three. The thickness sets what fits a holder, and the capacity how long the cell lasts under the same load.

Ringed: the three 20 mm cells, side on. Only the edge differs: 3.2, 2.5 and 1.6 mm.
Two CR2016s in place of a CR2032
Two CR2016s stacked are 3.2 mm thick, as thick as one CR2032. Stacked cells add their voltages, so the pair gives 6 V where the device takes 3 V. Fit two only where the device’s manual shows two.
If a battery is swallowed
If a child or anyone else may have swallowed a coin or button battery, don’t delay: call the 24-hour National Battery Ingestion Hotline at 1-800-498-8666 or your poison center at 1-800-222-1222. Keep spare and used cells where children can’t reach them.
Common questions
Is CR2032 the same as DL2032?
Yes, by Renata's and GP's lists: Renata lists Duracell's DL2032 beside its CR2032, and GP lists DL2032 as equivalent to its own CR2032.
Does a CR2025 last as long as a CR2032?
Not by Energizer's capacity figures, which give the CR2025 170 mAh to the CR2032's 235 mAh. Renata's figures are 165 and 225 mAh.
What do the numbers in CR2032 mean?
They follow the size on Energizer's sheet: 20 mm across and 3.2 mm thick. The CR2025 is 20 mm and 2.5 mm, and the CR2016 20 mm and 1.6 mm.
Thickness, width and capacity come from Energizer’s CR2016, CR2025 and CR2032 datasheets, with Renata’s product pages and GP’s for the codes; the swallowing line from the National Capital Poison Center. Checked against published data from Energizer, National Capital Poison Center, Renata and GP Batteries.
