Blink cameras take the same AA lithium

Blink says its battery cameras, the Outdoor 4, the Outdoor and Indoor (3rd Gen) and older XT, XT2 and Indoor (1st Gen) models, are designed for the same size AA 1.5-volt lithium non-rechargeable batteries as the Video Doorbell. The Blink Mini runs on a USB-C cable and takes no batteries.

Charging Ring’s Ultra pack

Ring says its Quick Release Ultra Battery Pack doesn’t work with the Ring Charging Station, so it charges through its own USB-C port.

Common questions

Can I use rechargeable AA batteries in a Blink doorbell?

No, Blink says its doorbells take non-rechargeable AA 1.5-volt lithium batteries, and that third-party power solutions aren't supported.

Does a wired Blink doorbell still need batteries?

Yes, Blink says a Video Doorbell wired to chime wiring is always powered by its AA lithium batteries. The wiring sounds the in-home chime when someone presses the button.
