Swatch publishes a battery list that gives the cell for each of its watch lines, from the Original’s Gent and Chrono lines to the metal Irony and the thin Skin.

Renata numbers and IEC codes
Each row of Swatch’s list gives two names for a cell: Renata’s three-digit number, such as 390, and the IEC code, such as SR1130. A battery labeled with either one is the same size.
The letters after an IEC code matter too. Renata’s data sheets rate its 390 (SR1130SW) as low drain and its 389 (SR1130W) as high drain, at the same size, and Swatch’s Loomi lines take the 389 or the 380 rather than the 390 or 394.

From Swatch’s battery list. Size is diameter x height. The 1.55 V cells are silver oxide; the CR cells are 3 V lithium.
Three Irony lines that vary
A footnote on the list marks the Irony Medium, the Irony Big and the Irony Nabab as using different cells from watch to watch. For these, the case back of your own watch decides which one fits.
How long it lasts
Swatch puts a new battery’s life at 2 to 3 years, depending on the cell’s size and the watch’s functions, and says a chronograph may run down sooner than an Original Gent.
Watches without a battery
The Swatch Automatic is a self-winding mechanical watch, so it has no battery to replace, Swatch says.
Keep spare cells away from children
The National Capital Poison Center says that if anyone swallows a battery, immediately call the 24-hour National Battery Ingestion Hotline at 1-800-498-8666 or your poison center at 1-800-222-1222. Don’t delay. Immediate treatment decreases severity.
Common questions
Why is my Swatch blinking or moving its hands oddly?
Swatch calls this the End of Life signal: a blinking screen or a change in the hands' movement shows the battery is nearly flat. It's found mostly on watches with a lithium battery.
Where can I get a battery cover or spare battery?
Swatch's after sales FAQ says batteries and battery covers, along with straps and buckles, are available at Swatch stores.
